     Evangelization & Membership Growth

Evangelism is "the presentation of Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, in such ways that persons may be led to believe in him as Savior, and follow Him as Lord with the fellowship of His Church." - General Convention 1973

In the Episcopal Church the common ways in which many people seem to come into, and be formed in, a relationship with Christ and his church is:

1. Through the experience of being in community doing Liturgy - experiencing a sense of awe & wonder along with hospitality

2. By attraction to and living in a healthy parish community - finding a community in which you can mature and find your truest & deepest self

3. By the comprehensive and open approach to faith and doctrine - allowing more space for the complexity and mystery of faith
