CDI Trainers
Bevan Stanley
| Since 1984 Bevan has been a successful practitioner
of parish development in parishes as Vicar and Rector, and since 1986 he
has been training and consulting in congregations of all sizes from
family to corporate. He has been Trainer of the Parish Development
Course (what evolved into CDI) for ten years in Diocese of Connecticut,
and Trainer for CDI programs in the dioceses of Western Massachusetts
and Newark. Bevan has consulted in parish development, stewardship,
evangelism, conflict, planning, Vestry team development, parish
discernment, and clergy coaching. He is particularly interested in
issues of leadership, systems theory, changing organizational culture,
and managing conflict. He loves teaching and coaching. Bevan also has over 15 years experience as a spiritual director and retreat leader, and he is an EFM mentor. He has been involved in community organizing and has attended the National Training offered by the Industrial Areas Foundation. His project for the Doctor of Ministry degree was titled Organizing the Congregation: The Use of Community Organizing Techniques in the Training of Congregational Leaders. Bevan has had extensive involvement in wider Church on the diocesan level in Connecticut and Newark. He has been elected four times as deputy to General Convention. He is currently the Rector of Christ Church, Short Hills, NJ. |
